The circus...and stuff like that....

I want to join the circus. I'm serious. I'm totally going to run off with the circus. How cool would that be? I would fall in love with an adorable clown and we would get married under the big top. Sigh. No, wait. Not a clown. I'm kinda scared of clowns. Hmm...I know! A trapeze dude with big muscles. Yep.
We went to the circus Thursday night. They didn't have it in a tent, but in a building instead. It was right across the street from us so we didn't have far to go. I love this place. Anyway, the building...it had 12-foot ceilings. They needed a good foot more. It was hilarious. The acrobatic guys that juggled eachother on their feet had a tough time of it. The one guy bumped his head on the ceiling. I laughed.
The ringleader was very active in the show. He did some cool bike tricks with the hula hoop girl. That was pretty cool. He was swinging her around his shoulders and stuff. Impressive, really. He juggled with fire, too. The hula hoop girl hula-hooped with fire. I totally want to try that now.
I felt sorry for the tigers and the lion. It didn't look like they were enjoying themselves very much. The trainer lady kept whacking the lioness in the face because she wouldn't cooperate. The lion started snarling and I anticipated an episode of "When Animals Attack." I imagined watching it on tv and telling all my friends,"Look! That's where my sisters and I were standing. Look, you can see my sweater." They would be amazed. My third time on telivision would definitely be the best and most exciting. As the lioness ripped the lady's arm off and shook it like a dog, you would see a shot of me gasping in horror. Yeah, that'd be great. Of course, the lady would be okay. On Max-X the announcer dude would say something like,"The girl survived, but lost her arm. Here's what she has to say..."
"I was just trying to get Simba to lay down and out of nowhere he attacked me. This girl from the audience [me...hehe] was screaming at me to get out of the way and if it weren't for her I would surely be dead now. I owe her my life."
Then I would get interviewed and talk about how surreal it was and everything...Sigh.
Actually, I think I like the running off and marrying a trapeze artist better...

Not really a Chia Pet

I just wanted to say that I am not really a chia pet, though I have always dreamed of being one. It's true. Okay, not really. I just thought you should know that I am not who I say I am to avoid confusion and fear.

Death

Do you ever think about death? What is it like to die?
What is it like to be dead?
I know, as a Christian, I should believe in an after-life, but do I really?
When you're dead are you gone forever?
Do you come back as someone else?
Do you go to a better place (or a worse one)? Do you have any friends when you're dead?
Can you see what is going on on earth?
Are you even on earth yourself or are you somewhere else? Heaven? Hell? I think that if you go to heaven you can see what is going on here. If you go to hell...I'm not sure. In Heaven the streets are made of clear gold, so maybe you can look down through the gold and see below you.
Where is Heaven, anyway? I was always taught that it is somewhere beyond the universe, but isn't the universe infinite? Some say that heaven is here, but in a different realm, a spirit realm, that we cannot see.
I was just thinking about this. Thomas let me borrow his dvd collection of Dead Like Me. It was a really cool show. It puts a new perspective on death and life. I was fascinated. Are there really Grim Reapers and Gravelings? It's a neat way to look at it, I guess. It's a lot easier to understand that than it is to understand the stuff I was taught at church.

Ah, the internet

I have decided that the internet is officially the coolest place ever. Too bad it's not a real place that you can go to like the mall or the movies. I would so love to get deep inside the computer and just surf the web, like with a surf board. I can totally picture myself doing that. If I had better words I'd describe it for you.
I'm being bugged to log off now because someone is expecting a very important phone call from an official person. My sister is just waiting to see if her friend can come over and play. Very important stuff.

Delorean

Yesterday my cousin got his new car and he brought it over here to decorate our yard until he can buy plates and a muffler for it. He would've had to drive it past the police station to get it home and that wouldn't be such a good thing to get nailed, considering his family's reputation with the honorable police department (when a cruiser pulls up outside their house it's no big thing. "Oh look, honey. It's the police. Hey, Joe. How are the kids?" Last week Travis kicked the crap out of this other kid for calling his black friend a number of inapproprite names. I was proud that he stood up for him-we all were-but Travis can't beat the shit out of someone without an audience. That was his downfall). So I have a car sitting outside my bedroom window just taunting me, begging to be driven, at least to be started. It's a crap car right now, but with a little work it could actually be pretty sweet. It's a 1989 Firebird. It looks like a Dolorean (you know...from Back to the Future?) so last night I dreamed about this kid named Matt Dolorean who bought a Dolorean. Weird.

How to Loan Your Cousin $250

1. Don't tell your mother. She will think it is a terrible idea and spend a whole hour lecturing you because of your and his irresponsibility.
2. Ask your cousin if this loan has been approved by his parents, as he is only sixteen years old. You are the legal adult;therefore, you are the responsible one (supposedly).
3. Draw up a contract detailing the amount to be paid weekly until the loan is paid off. Hypothetically, I will say he must pay me $25 a week. I figure that is a reasonable rate (more than reasonable)since the said cousin works part-time at the hardware store and is still in high school. In this scenario the money will be paid back in approximately two-and-one-half months, so that you, the lender, may proceed to save towards the goals that you do not have and, consequently, will not meet.
4. Check out the car for yourself to make sure that it is not crap (especially if this car was made in 1989 and is being sold for $750. This way you can remove yourself from being at fault when this car malfunctions and he is paralyzed as a result of your loaning him the money to buy a piece of crap, malfunctioning car.

I hope you have learned much from this hypothetical lesson.

Losing My Blog Virginity

Here I am posting my very first blogger entry. How exciting! I just finished Biz Stone's book and it inspired me. The most amazing part is that I actually finished the book. With most nonfiction books I usually skim through them and hope for pictures and funny stories. If there are none my interest is soon transfered elsewhere. His book had no pictures, but there were a few funny stories. Maybe that's what kept me hooked. Now I am experimenting with HTML, something I always regarded as nerd jargon, but it's actually kinda cool. Fascinating.
Check out this ladies' blog. Heather Armstrong. She's hilarious.
